Why this work matters to me

Besides my formal education, I have completed extensive independent coursework totaling more than 3,500 hours. Much of this training is in Classical Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, Autonomic Response Testing, and varied systems of muscle testing.

I combine advanced styles of acupuncture with more than 20 years of experience in kinesiological reflex testing and Western holistic healthcare. My passion for helping people and figuring out health puzzles stems from my own history of serious health problems and pain. That experience was one of my greatest teachers.

What I do

Saam Classical Chinese Acupuncture

After studying many approaches, I have found Saam Acupuncture to be a comprehensive, classically based system. It addresses a person's constitution and "Qi dynamics": whether things need to warm, cool, move, consolidate, nourish, or drain. The approach uses relatively few needles to give the body a clear stimulus. I also use other acupuncture styles and techniques as needed.

Autonomic Response Testing

ART brings together methods of autonomic nervous system feedback and reflex testing. I use it alongside history, observation, Chinese medical assessment, and patient goals to ask better questions in real time rather than holding rigidly to one theory. In my practice, it is a valuable tool for investigating difficult cases and possible blocks to regulation.

German Auricular Medicine

German Auricular Medicine builds on the work of Dr. Paul Nogier and Dr. Frank Bahr. The ear is treated as a microsystem connected closely with the brain and nervous system. This framework is used to look for hidden blockages such as scars, old injuries, unresolved stress, trauma patterns, infections, and toxicity.

Sports Acupuncture and Myofascial Release

Modern anatomical knowledge can be combined with classical channel theory to address held tension in fascia and soft tissues. Trigger point, motor point, trauma point, and ligament-focused techniques may be used to support mobility, structural balance, and persistent pain patterns.

Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine

Classical formulas are selected according to the individual constitution and disease pattern. The goal is to understand which organs and systems appear depleted, excessive, blocked, or in need of support, then choose a formula that fits the person rather than only the symptom name.
